WOW! 2018 has passed by in the blink of an eye! The close of another year brings many to not only reflect on the past 365 days, but to create resolutions and goals for the next year.

For LindseyCianaPhotography, 2018 was a year of development, and a year of firsts! Purchasing my camera and creating a website was just the beginning of the adventure! In the short time I have had my camera, I have had the opportunity to photograph such a wide variety of shoots: a family session with 2 adorable little girls, 4 very different and amazing couples, portraits of my cousins, a spunky engagement, a boudoir session, a relaxed pet session with a beautiful golden retriever, and a precious newborn shoot! I couldn't be more grateful for the clients that have allowed me to photograph their special moments, because every shoot has been an absolute blast! I have walked away from each one grinning ear to ear, with a light heart and pep in my step!

My favorite photograph I took in 2018!

Every shoot is a new learning experience, and I have tried to soak up every moment of it. 2018 has taught me so much! If I'm being honest, I have spent much of my adult life feeling lost and hopeless- it's terrifying to hit your 20s and feel as though you don't have a purpose! There is so much pressure to establish a wealthy career, purchase a house and settle down so young, which is crazy! Through photography I have learned to slow down and enjoy every small moment. I have learned that it's okay to be 24 and not have your entire life figured out! I am slowly developing my editing style. I am learning all about my camera, my lenses, and my editing programs! I have learned how important lighting is! I am learning that being happy and following your heart is more important than what others will think of you. Putting yourself and your work out for the world to see really makes you feel really vulnerable, but I am learning how to silence that voice of doubt. I am learning that comparison is the thief of joy.

Most of all, I'm learning from my mistakes, which is all that I can ask of myself! I can already see an improvement from my first session in August to my most recent session this December:

My resolution for 2019 is to continue LEARNING! Every session this year has been an enjoyable and valuable lesson, and I can only hope that 2019 will continue to mold me into the photographer I aspire to be!

Thank you to every client; you have been a part of making 2018 so incredible!

Cheers to 2019!
